Opening Statement:

"My name is Bishop Walton and I'm proud to be running to be your student association President. Before I get into policy, resume, or who I am, I want to tell a story. When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. sat in the Birmingham Jail he wrote a letter to those who told him to wait. He would go to write the word TIME over 27 times. This parallels our experience here at GW. Student leaders have been advocating for policies year after year to improve the student experience. But we have been told to wait but the Time Is Now! We need to be a President who is not afraid to say to the administration the Time Is Now in order to curate the campus that we hope to see and want to see."
